MioSoft’s Business Data Tool (BDT) is an easy to use desktop application which allows users to view, analyze, transform and export data from a large variety of sources. The Business Data Tool boasts a highly interactive and visual interface, while leveraging a powerful underlying engine. The result is an easy to learn and use  data tool capable of performing complex analysis and transformations on a wide varierty of data types- no matter the size or shape.

Graphical Interface
The Business Data Tool’s graphical interface means not only quick and easy access to your data, but more importantly that all operations can be done without time consuming programming or scripting. Even the most complex operations, such as the Configurable Parser, require no programming background.

Extended Format, Codepage, and Parsing Support
An intuitive visual interface and advanced support for a variety of data types enables easy parsing and viewing of data from such sources as traditional flat files, IMS*, MQ, ODBC, and XML.

Advanced, Custom Data Structuring
Bringing advanced structure to your partially structured data is easy with MioSoft’s Business Data Tool. The configurable parser is one of the key components in the Business Data Tool’s data structuring abilities. It’s powerful and intelligent engine  allows you to bring structure to partially structured data by creating pattern templates then used by the Business Data Tool to make decisions regarding the structure and content of the final output of the data.

Advanced Data Analysis and Business Intelligence Functions
Several of the transformation tools included in the Business Data Tool can also be used for data analysis. In addition, the Business Data Tool has powerful frequency and meta-frequency functions that allows patterns to be quickly detected in millions of records of data. These tools help facilitate such activities as creating reports, separating messages, compacting or expanding data, and data validation.

Extended MQ and ODBC features and support
In addition to being able to browse the messages in a queue or thousands of ODBC tables just like browsing flat-file records, the Business Data Tool can perform analysis and transformations on MQ data as if it were any other data file. Additionally, the Business Data Tool allows viewing and parsing the MQ header. All MQ functions from the Business Data Tool are done in a completely non-destructive manner, leaving the queue fully intact and unchanged. If you wish to backup or change the queue for updates, changes, or test messages, The Business Data Tool includes built-in queue backup, restore, and load features. In addition, The Business Data Tool’s queue load feature allows any data from the Business Data Tool to be sent to a queue, including optional custom headers.
